Yeast
Based on specific enquiries from our customers, our company searches for particular producers of brewer´s yeast so that we can ensure deliveries to our customers depending on their specific demand and special needs. We keep searching for reliable European partners in cooperation with whom we would be able to build a stable supply chain on the “producer-we-our customers” principle. Thanks to these activities, we would like to expand the assortment of brewer´s yeast from various producers and thus create a healthy competitive environment in the market.
Brewer´s yeast
Brewer´s yeast are one-celled organisms which have the ability to convert fermentable sugars into ethanol (alcohol) and carbon dioxide. In addition to these major metabolic products, they also create a number of secondary metabolites such as esters, higher alcohols and acids, which play a significant role in the formation of beer’s sensory properties. Yeast is added in various forms to unfermented beer (wort) so that the so-called fermentation takes place during production. Fermentation is a process in which the sugar contained in wort is converted into alcohol to produce the desired alcoholic beer. During fermentation, CO2 gas is also formed in beer. In the production of beer, yeast is added to the wort as dried yeast or liquid yeast, and these two types are further divided into yeast for the lower fermentation of beer and the upper fermentation of beer.
