Malt
HAKUS a.s. focuses on the supply of high-quality raw materials for beer brewing – including malt. We operate on numerous foreign markets as the exclusive representatives of the Czech malt producer Družina Dačice spol. s.r.o. and the Slovak manufacturer OSIVO a.s. On the basis of close cooperation with the mentioned malt producers and our own facilities, we can ensure quality deliveries both to our existing and new costumers interested in cooperating with us. Thanks to our experience, we can provide the customer with a complete delivery service, consulting services or possible consultations with highly professional Czech brewers.

Description of malt
Malt is produced in malt houses and is always processed and packaged according to customer requirements. Malt production is a several-day process called malting. Malt is most often distinguished as follows:

Light malt – or Pilsen malt as a basic raw material for the production of all types of beer
Munich malt – a raw material in the production of dark beers
Viennese malt – a raw material in the production of semi-dark and dark beers
Caramel malt– a raw material in the production of dark beers of the Munich type
Chocolate malt– a raw material in the production of dark and semi-dark Munich-type beers Coloured malt- a raw material in the production of dark beers of the Munich type
