About the company
Hakus is a traditional Czech trading company, which was founded in 1997 to operate field crop production and subsequent trade with individual crops. In 2001, the company focuses on foreign trade with Eastern European countries, especially with hop and malt. After two years of hard work, we managed to significantly penetrate the market of Ukraine and the Russian Federation. The company managed to supply 26 thousand tons of malt in the years 2004 – 2006 to major Ukrainian breweries. Since 2004, annual deliveries of hop products have exceeded the 100tonne threshold and are gradually growing. The company offers a full range of hop products with increased support for the implementation of Saaz semi-early red bine hop on the market. Hakus also profiles itself as a company that buys their production from Czech and Slovak primary agricultural producers and malt houses and places it safely on foreign markets. It provides a full range of purchase, storage, transport and collection services for delivered goods. On the other hand, it mainly focuses on the segment of small and medium-sized Russian, Ukrainian and Azerbaijani breweries and provides them with a service for the supply of quality raw materials and professional support.
Since 2009, the company has been supplementing its business focus with the “oleochemistry” program, which is an import of vegetable oils and animal fats for technical purposes into the EU. Since 2012, this business program has entered the implementation phase of supplies of oils for technical purposes, especially for those European customers who have not been active in the Eastern market, but have an eminent interest in securing raw materials from the Russian Federation and Ukraine. Hakus in cooperation with its Russian representative OOO MBB Group ensures the purchase of these raw materials from Russian, Kazakh and Ukrainian producers and cooperates in ensuring their quality storage, adjusting them to the required quality standard, or in organizing transport and customs clearance.
Philosophy of our company
We focus on a selection of products and raw materials that fully meet the quality requirements of our customers. Here, long-term experience and specialization from individual fields and foreign markets help us a lot. With the help of specialists in the field and accredited independent laboratories, we check the quality of delivered products. We control the production process, processing of raw materials and storage of finished products.
In relation to the required quality, we look for interesting price relations for individual customers, as well as finished products. When organizing deliveries to the destination, we focus on optimizing logistics routes and resources and associated costs. In the event of a customer’s request, we use our own storage capacities to provide gradual partial deliveries on the basis of approved schedules with the aim of reducing the necessary production stocks and the tied financial resources of our customers.
For operational distribution, we use permanent warehouses both in the Czech Republic and in the territory of the Russian Federation. In the event of the need for further short-term storage, especially larger volumes of production raw materials, we use proven logistics and storage centers, based on a cooperation agreement. Our goal is to make the goods operationally available to the end customer, so that we eliminate the risk of regular supply disruptions.
